Las actuaciones vienen presentadas de forma cronológica - desde las sesiones Into the Night de 1991, hasta las Peel Sessions, las Public Peel Sessions y el Radio 1 Live Lounge de 2008. Las emisiones en directo comienzan con un show en 1984 en el Nottingham Rock City, seguido de la impresionante vuelta en 1995 después de un hiato de 6 años de la gira Monster en el National Bowl en Milton Keynes, para pasar a su actuación como cabezas de cartel en el Pyramid Stage de Glastonbury de 1999 y finalmente llegar a su íntima actuación para 200 personas invitadas por la BBC en St. James Church en Londres. La historia de REM con la BBC se ilustra a través de un texto nuevo escrito por el periodista especializado en rock, Tom Doyle.
